Thursday 01/09/2025

As the new semester begins, FSU Information Technology Services is thrilled to welcome you back. We understand how overwhelming the beginning of the semester can be, from adjusting to your new schedules to staying on top of your coursework and campus life. We are here to support you with tech tools and resources to make the most of the semester ahead.

We have compiled a list of seven essential tech tips every FSU community member should use to ensure their semester goes off without a hitch.

  • Microsoft Office 365
    • All FSU community members have free access to Microsoft Office 365. Whether you need to write a paper, create spreadsheets or check your email, Microsoft Office 365 has it all.
  • Canvas
    • Students and faculty alike use Canvas to upload their coursework, see their grades and ask and answer questions.
  • myFSU Service Center
    • If you encounter difficulties with any FSU-related technology, visit the myFSU Service Center to report issues and request services. Our FAQs page is also available 24/7 to help answer your tech questions.
  • 2FA (Duo)
    • Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of protection to your FSU accounts. If you got a new device during the holidays, learn how to add it to your Duo account with our helpful guide.
  • myFSU Mobile
    • The myFSU Mobile app is the central hub for FSU students, faculty and staff. Students can access their financial aid and course selections, staff can view paystubs and time off and faculty can manage rosters and other resources. This can all be done on any device, from anywhere.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud
    • Feeling creative and looking to make something exciting? Then Adobe Creative Cloud is the application for you! All of Adobe’s desktop applications, including Photoshop and InDesign, are available to faculty and staff for download on up to two devices.
  • Zoom
    • Whether you are a faculty member hosting a class or a work-from-home employee calling a colleague, Zoom has a purpose for you. All FSU members have unlimited minutes to attend and host Zoom sessions.

Make the most of these essential tech tips and do not hesitate to reach out to FSU ITS if you need assistance. Here’s to a smooth and productive semester!
