ODL Director Presents on NotebookLM
Robert Fuselier, senior director of the Office of Digital Learning and Academic Technology, recently presented at the FSU Innovation Hub as part of the fall series of Faculty Innovator Coffee Chats. The presentation focused on Google NotebookLM, the AI-powered research and note-taking tool made available to FSU faculty, staff, and students as part of the university’s partnership with Google for Education.
“FSU’s agreement with Google ensures that when using tools like NotebookLM, a user’s personal and intellectual data is secure,” said Fuselier. “We can work in creative new ways, while having the peace of mind of advanced privacy protections.”
Through a live demonstration, Fuselier showed how users can upload source materials like documents, websites, and video into NotebookLM to create multimedia content such as quizzes, flashcards, slide presentations, and podcasts.
It was exciting to see so many people interested in what this tool can do for faculty and students, letting them use their own course materials to create innovative ways of teaching and learning.
