Building a Unified Organization
In 2024, FSU began a historic organizational transformation, bringing previously separate IT units under unified Information Technology Services leadership. This strategic alignment strengthened collaboration, eliminated redundancy and dramatically enhanced our collective ability to support the university.
By consolidating resources and expertise, we created a more coordinated reporting structure, improved institutional capacity to advance critical initiatives like artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, and positioned FSU to reduce costs while expanding professional development opportunities for our team.
Today, ITS comprises approximately 1,075 IT professionals working collaboratively across the university to advance RISE 2030 and support FSU's mission.
Six Strategic Focus Areas Through 2030
To achieve our RISE 2030 vision, ITS has identified six critical focus areas that will guide our strategic direction and resource allocation. By remaining focused on these priorities, we can continue driving innovation, strengthening our services and supporting FSU's success.
