2022 ITS Food for Thought Pantry Results
The FSU Food for Thought Pantry was created by associate dean of students, Robin Leach, in 2009. The idea of a food pantry arose when students were coming into the university’s case management office for financial, food and housing insecurities.
For students facing food security, FSU’s department of student support and transitions runs a food pantry. The pantry is partnered with the ‘Second Harvest of the Big Bend’ in an effort to keep the shelves stocked at all times of the year.
Like previous years, FSU ITS held a donation drive for the FSU Food for Thought Pantry. This year, ITS surpassed its goal and collectively raised $6,497 over the course of several weeks, to help currently enrolled students who are seeking food assistance. This feat is undoubtedly one of the most impactful 2022, and it will be felt in the lives of the students at Florida State.
The FSU Food for Thought Pantry is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, located in University Center A, Suite 4148.
