A conglomeration of FSU delegates represent the best interests of the FSU research community to advance research computing at FSU.
The RCC is directed by an executive steering committee and supported by a management board and advisory committees. These governing bodies oversee the management and advancement of research technologies across FSU.
Executive Board
The RCC Executive Board serves as the chief advisory board for research technology at FSU. The committee provides strategic direction and oversight for research computing activities and sets priorities in alignment with funding.
Responsibilities
Advocate for research technology funding
Remove obstacles to the growth and expansion of research computing
Provide guidance on external collaboration
Approve annual budget and proposed investments over existing funding levels
Contribute feedback on the performance of the RCC director
Authorize decisions on topics including leadership positions and program creation

Management Board
The RCC Management Board provides strategic direction and direct support for research technology services. Each board member represents their discipline to ensure alignment across FSU colleges, departments and service providers and act for the best interests of the RCC in the expansion of research at FSU.
Responsibilities
Identify and approve RCC infrastructure, staff and resource allocation
Suggest third-party software licenses
Recommend subsidies and the apportionment of costs for users
Approve usage and scheduling policies for the HPC
Provide requirements on usage reporting and user interfaces
Incentivize researchers to use appropriate data storage and processing facilities
