New Transcript Automation Form Streamlines Data Input
On December 1, FSU Student Application Services launched a new transcript automation form that speeds up the process of ingesting and loading student transcripts into student records and helps students see hours and prerequisite credits posted more quickly.
This new solution is powered by an AI element that analyzes incoming transcript data and maps it to the correct fields in a student’s records. This automated mapping both reduces staff-entry time and decreases the potential for manual errors, making transcript processing more efficient and reliable. This form also serves as proof of concept for other institutional automation efforts, demonstrating how similar forms could streamline other routine workflows across campus.
Staff can contact Leah Paul (lpaul@fsu.edu) and Sarah Mahler (slmahler@admin.fsu.edu) for questions about the form or to learn more about the deployment. ITS and campus partners are already building on this success: a second automated form, developed in collaboration with Athletics, is scheduled to roll out in January.
