University Fax Lines Move to the Cloud
Information Technology Services (ITS) is expanding digital faxing to all campus departments. This conversion is happening in conjunction with the university's migration to Zoom Phone.
The new digital faxing service is completely free—departments will no longer incur fax line charges—and is accessible completely via an online application, RightFax Connect Hybrid. The application offers an updated interface, making it easier to access faxed files from anywhere, and enhanced features.
- Web-Based Access | Access faxed documents from anywhere with an updated, fully online interface
- Enhanced Security | Enjoy enhanced protection with encrypted fax transmission
- Email Integration | Receive faxes directly in your inbox, no need to print or check a physical machine
- Fax Tracking | See when faxes are sent, received and viewed and receive automated notifications
The transition, which will begin in July 2025, will be completed by September 2025. Departments are migrating to the new system in small batches. During the migration, there will be downtime with departmental fax systems, causing them not to receive faxes.
Upon completion, digital faxing will enhance the university’s faxing experience and streamline department workflows.
