ITS Staff exploring the Tech Truck, Alexa Lowry

Wireless mice, high-definition monitors and portable chargers are just a few of the new technologies aboard the Dell Tech Rally Truck, which made its return to the Technology Serves Building (TSB) for the third year in a row. This partnership with Dell has become a spring staple for ITS as our staff has the opportunity to explore new technology, hear about changes and upgrades with Dell and speak with our FSU Dell representatives.

This year, Dell provided a fun interactive way to explore the tech truck with a scavenger hunt! Participants would scan the QR code as they stepped onto the truck that would take them to the online game. Players were presented with four hints about various products on the truck. Once they knew what product it was referring to, they would scan the QR code for that product. Once you found all four items, not only did you explore some exciting new technology, but you were also entered to win a prize from Dell.

The day did not end on the truck. Dell also hosted a demo where they showed us some more new devices, discussed their upcoming upgrades and answered any questions our staff had. The Tech Rally was an excellent opportunity to discuss how Dell could enhance our work capabilities. Dell also partnered with Mama P’s Ice Cream Truck to provide a sweet treat to end the day. ITS staff and representatives from Dell participated in an ice cream social to end the day with networking.

We look forward to continuing this partnership with Dell in the years to come.
