Meet ArtesAI: FSU’s new AI workspace is here!

Get ready to work smarter, faster and more securely! ArtesAI, Florida State University’s new AI workspace, is now live and available to faculty, staff and students.

ArtesAI is a secure, cloud-based generative AI platform designed to support your everyday work. Whether you’re drafting documents, analyzing data, managing complex projects or tackling tough research questions, ArtesAI brings powerful AI tools together in one place. You can even build your own tools while keeping your information protected. Best of all, ArtesAI is free for the entire FSU community.

AI that acts, not just answers

One of ArtesAI’s most exciting features is its ability to do more than answer questions. Instead of stopping at simple questions and answers, ArtesAI lets you design AI agents that carry out multi-step tasks on their own.

With ArtesAI, you can:

• Hand off routine work. Delegate repetitive tasks to AI agents and take back time in your day.
• Create custom workflows. Build agents to complete specific tasks and save them to use again whenever you need them.
• Schedule tasks in advance. Set agents to run automatically, so work keeps moving even when you’re away from your desk.
• Work across multiple tools. Work across the systems, tools and data sources you already use to get useful, actionable results.

Leading AI models, all in one place

Why juggle between multiple AI services when you can access them all in one place? ArtesAI offers AI models from Anthropic, Mistral and OpenAI, including Claude and ChatGPT. As the platform grows, more models and features will be added.

ArtesAI works with text, images, PDFs and other documents, and can help users write, review and debug code. Faculty can use it to create syllabi, lesson plans, assignments and study guides, while researchers can use it to analyze articles, plan research projects and draft papers.

Security built for university work

ArtesAI gives the FSU community a secure environment for generative and agentic AI, with enterprise-level security and data privacy protections. Unlike many public AI services, ArtesAI gives the university greater control over how its information is handled, helping keep your prompts and conversations protected.

ArtesAI supports a wide range of university activities, but some sensitive or regulated information comes with additional requirements. ArtesAI is not approved for data subject to HIPAA regulations. Any use involving FERPA-protected data, restricted data or specific grant or sponsor requirements should be reviewed before entering that information into the platform.
