FSU Launches Annual Cybersecurity Awareness Training for All Employees

Thursday 09/11/2025

In response to the ever-increasing threat of cyberattacks, ITS has introduced an annual cybersecurity awareness training program for all university employees. This proactive measure is designed to safeguard Florida State University’s digital resources.

As announced in Spring 2025, all FSU faculty and staff will receive a link to the cybersecurity training modules, which should be completed by October 15, 2025. The training program is concise and user-friendly, taking approximately 15 minutes to complete.

The training provides faculty and staff with the knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to the most common cyberthreats, including phishing, malware and identity theft.

With the ever-evolving nature of cyberthreats, every member of the FSU community must be vigilant and proactive in protecting the university's digital assets. The training will help employees understand best practices for cybersecurity and contribute to a safer digital environment for everyone.

ITS is counting on the cooperation of employees and the support of university leadership to ensure full compliance. Together, we can make FSU a safer and more secure place to work and learn.
