What's it like to work for ITS?
From data engineering to cyber security FSU Information Technology Services has a wide range of employment opportunities. What makes working for ITS different from any other tech company is the opportunities and environment it provides. We understand that to provide exceptional service to the Florida State community we must give our team the resources and professional development needed to succeed. One of our 2022 strategic goals is to enhance the ITS team's capabilities. We plan to do this by meeting the ITS staff’s expectations on training content & experience, championing the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion activities & culture throughout the organization, and creating individualized development plans for high-performing employees.
“Since my first day with ITS this team has felt like a family that is there to support you and help you grow” -Alexa Lowry, 9 months
This year we recently launched our new values that we as a team strive for. The purpose of these values our to guide us in growing to be better strategic partners. ITS works closely with key campus stakeholders and the IT Governance Council to develop plans and technology services in support of the educational and research missions of the university. Our services range from common good technologies such as email, network, voice and web services, to specialized applications focused on data, integrations and reports for individual colleges and departments. ITS also manages the Northwest Regional Data Center (NWRDC) and Florida Virtual Campus (FLVC). In 2019, ITS established the Technology Architecture Committee to help ensure IT units across the university are collaborating to select and build the most robust technology solutions for FSU. There are always new opportunities to network and collaborate with different partners through ITS. From Wi-Fi to tech troubleshooting, ITS provides and supports the technology that makes it easier for students, faculty and staff to learn, teach, research and work at FSU.
“I enjoy working with ITS because each day represents an opportunity to help someone in the FSU community. I couldn’t do my job without the skills and talents of my ITS colleagues, who have also dedicated themselves to serving others. I’m blessed to work with such a great team, which is why I have been a part of the ITS organization for 25 years.” -Dave Borschel, 25 years
