Today, an employee reported a suspicious, but seemingly official looking email with "The Florida State University" listed as the Subject, which claimed to be coming from Information Technology Services.
As of Tuesday, December 20th 2011 at 9:00 am EST, all migrations of e-mail from student's JES to myFSU have been completed. For users that have still not activated their myFSU accounts, their student e-mail aliases will be moved to our Exchange servers temporarily (through Jan. 25th, 2012) and will forward to their myFSU. All student aliases will be removed on January 25th, 2012 and all myFSU accounts will be manually activated.
Information Technology Services is pleased to announce a significant change regarding email services to the University community. Campus-wide migration to a unified Microsoft Exchange 2010 platform is scheduled to be fully implemented over the upcoming winter break, beginning at 6PM on December 23, 2011. Please note that email services for ALL faculty, staff, and retirees will be affected during the migration. Employees will have access to their FSU email during the winter break, but there will be periodic service interruptions during the transition process.
