Information Technology Administration Partnership Program (ITAPP)

ITAPP is a technology collaboration program that assists individual units at Florida State University with the management of IT resources.

When you partner with ITAPP, you no longer have to single-handedly plan and maintain your complex IT infrastructure. Each ITAPP partnership is unique to the unit it supports, and Information Technology Services (ITS) professionals work with you to develop IT solutions and an overall IT strategic direction to help you achieve your goals. We take the time to understand your unique needs by focusing on what your unit can do internally and where ITS can provide consistent support.

Additional Information

ITAPP participation is voluntary. Each individual organization continues to maintain ownership of their IT resources. Organizations interested in participating will be evaluated and will usually be asked to transfer personnel to Information Technology Services to help support the ITAPP services model. All positions accepted into the program have a direct reporting line of supervision to ITS. The IT manager for a partner organization also has a dotted reporting line to the Dean/Director, or their designee. The consolidation of staff serves to leverage human resources within ITS and other ITAPP partners to help ensure IT resources are effectively and efficiently managed. Also, consolidating staff provides personnel with opportunities for professional development and career advancement. Small organizations that do not require a full-time IT person may participate in the ITAPP. Terms of the partnership associated with staffing will be evaluated based on the organization's needs.
