OneDrive for Business

OneDrive for Business, a cloud storage and file sharing service from Microsoft, keeps all your files in one secure, access-it-anywhere location. Employees should use OneDrive for Business to store personal business data, while students can use it to store their personal data relating to coursework and other student activities. With OneDrive for Business, you can save your files to the cloud and access them anytime, both online and offline, and collaborate on documents in real-time with others at Florida State University.

  1. Sign in to Office 365 with your FSUID:
  2. Click the app launcher icon in the top-left corner
  3. Select OneDrive


  1. Install the OneDrive for Business Next Generation Sync Client: Windows | Mac
    • NOTE: If you are using a university-owned computer that is supported by an IT support team, please consult with them before installing the sync client, as they may have special requirements and procedures to follow.


  1. Download the Microsoft OneDrive app
  2. Open the app
  3. Enter your FSU email
  4. Select Sign in to OneDrive for Business
  5. Enter your FSUID password

NOTE: To edit OneDrive for Business files on your mobile device, you will need to download additional Microsoft apps, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

If you need to share files across your department, such as documents that appear on a network drive, use SharePoint Online.
