ITS Spring 2021 Townhall recap
Last week, the ITS team met up for the April 2021 Townhall meeting. After opening with remarks by Jane Livingston, team members took turns presenting on the progress of several ITS tiger teams, cross-functional teams that have come together to work on a specific goal or task throughout the quarter.
The Cultural Inclusion tiger team led by Kennetha Anderson and Clifford Stokes, Jr. is building programs to support the development of the ITS workforce and making the cultural climate one in which it is comfortable to work.
Breeze Howard and Claire Borschel are leading a team to streamline the email data flow and develop recommendations to better manage email groups.
Byron Menchion recapped the work of the Classifications tiger team that is seeking to focus on differentiating jobs within the ITS family. The team is exploring inconsistencies between standard IT benchmarks and looking at hiring and compensating employees at the adequate market level to avoid hindering the progression of staff careers.
The Transitions team, led by Rebekah Dorn, is responsible for planning the transition of employees back to the office by August 2021. The team is developing recommendations for everything from staff equipment and alternate work location requirements to conference room usage, and guidelines will be presented by May 1.
The Townhall meeting also provided updates on major ITS initiatives such as the One Office 365 project to migrate all student and employee accounts into a single Office 365 environment and ITS work to support COVID vaccination scheduling and contact tracing solutions.
The Townhall concluded with a video of team-submitted clips highlighting major accomplishments and proud moments for staff members over the past twelve months.
