Android IMAP

NOTE: Different manufacturers (Samsung, HTC, LG, etc) may use a different method to access these settings. This guide is written using the stock Google Android OS (version 4.4.3).

1.) On the home screen, open the application drawer and find the icon for Settings



2.) From the Settings screen, scroll down to the Accounts heading and tap Add Account, then Email or Personal (IMAP). On some versions of Android this may be inside a menu option named Accounts or Accounts & Sync. Step2

3.) Enter your email address in the form of and the associated password, then click manual setup or Next if manual setup is not shown.. Click to the next step; if you are prompted to select an account type, select IMAP.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Even if your FSUID does not match your primary email address you MUST use the format


4.) Your settings should match the following:

Password: Your FSUID password
Port: 993
Security type: SSL/TLS

5.) Your outgoing (SMTP) server settings should match the following

SMTP Server:
Port: 587
Security type: STARTTLS
Require signin: checked
Password: Your FSUID password

Tap Next

6.) Your device will ask you to check and modify some initial settings. Confirm these settings and tap Next, your email is now set up! Step7
